ARDC operates on a limited budget, is entirely funded by donations, and must deploy resources in an imaginative and cost-effective way. Donations are received from a wide range of sources including individuals, corporations, foundations and large international bodies including the UN and the EU. The objective of the Finance Manager) will be to ensure the creation and implementation of effective financial systems for the organisation
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement appropriate finance systems and procedures which will include, but is not limited to:
- Preparation of project and general budgets
- Management of income
- Creation of Procurement policies and management of expenditure, ensuring all payment requests are logged with supporting documentation and transactions are properly accounted for
- Monitoring of actual expenditure versus budgets and monitoring of cash flow
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly management financial reports
- Monitoring of funding situation
- Management of petty cash
- Communicate with relevant staff and volunteer to ensure the maintenance of such systems
- Assist the Resource Development Officer in the preparation of budgets and accounts to donors as necessary
- Knowledge and Experience of financial systems, budgeting, expenditure reporting etc. in Israel
- Proven strong planning, management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Bilingual with fluent English and Hebrew. Computer skills are required
- Identification with the policies, visions and aims of the ARDC
3 months minimum. Full time (40 hours a week)
