An
organisation focussing upon national and international economic issues
is looking to secure a Research Officer to join their Climate Finance
team on a four month contract.
Working
within a diverse team, this role will be supporting the team with their
research on climate finance (including the climate resilience of small
and developing countries), providing policy and research analysis,
preparing draft briefs, alongside supporting the team with project
management and arranging meetings with key external stakeholders.
Specific areas you will be responsible for include:

Providing support to the wider technical team by inputting with research and policy analysis on climate change and climate resilience issues

Developing draft terms of reference and briefs for commissioned papers and senior officials where necessary

The ongoing management of the website, ensuring external communication and organisational representation of programme activities is up to date and accurate

Providing project management support, including developing project proposals, communicating project updates, monitoring and tracking of budgets, providing logistical support for meetings and delivering capacity building activities
The
successful candidate will have a strong academic background in a
relevant field (including environment, climate change policy,
international development, environmental economics or climate finance)
alongside having worked within a policy related field.
You
will have experience of conducting research, analysing and preparing
papers / reports and using advocacy tools for climate change. You will
have strong communication abilities, the ability to succinctly work with
a diverse range of audiences, alongside strong organisation,
administration and project management skills.
