The Asia Foundation, an international
non-governmental organization working on democracy and governance, is seeking
applicants for a Grants Officer. Reporting to the Grants
Manager, The Grants Officer plays a key role in
managing awards to partner NGOs, and is responsible for pre-award financial
surveys of partners, negotiating and monitoring budgets, reviewing financial
reports for financial accuracy, and ensuring compliance with the sub-grant
agreement terms and the rules and regulations of the Foundation and its Donors.
The Officer also provides training and on-site technical support to partner
organizations to improve their capacity.
The candidate should be a team player and a problem solver.
Candidates
should ideally possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in conducting training to improve financial management systems and internal controls in a local NGO, grant-related accounting, audit or financial management, and reviewing financial report of local NGOs in Indonesia;
- Experience in international development organization is strongly preferred;
- Degree in Accounting or Finance related subject from a recognized University;
- Preferred experience in operating Quick Book accounting software;
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia – written and spoken;
- Proven written and oral communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills; and
- Professional organizational abilities.
