Consortium has got an opportunity for a Head of Technical Advisory
Services. This is a newly created role to support the expansion of the
technical team and is responsible to lead the management of the Malaria
Consortium Technical Advisory Team ensuring effective development,
coordination and application of our technical knowledge and expertise.
The successful candidate will have:
- Successful track record of effective resource planning and allocation, including budget management, for an international organisation
- Significant experience working at Senior Management level or equivalent, ideally with Country Management experience and/or technical consultancy
- Demonstrable experience in supporting and delivering programme quality for international development programmes, likely to have been gained in a multi-site international health organisation
- Significant experience in leading high performing teams
- Educated to degree level
- Proven effectiveness in building capacity and working in cross-cultural settings
- Knowledge and understanding of communicable disease control, particularly malaria
- Established leadership skills and the ability to lead, co-ordinate and work with teams, as well as to work independently and take initiative
- Effective negotiator with proven ability to manage relationships and deliver results
- Fluency in English required but French, in addition, would be a distinct advantage
- Proficiency with financial data, including budgeting, with a close attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Solid analytical skills and ability to filter and distil critical information
- Practical organisational skills with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload prioritise and re-prioritise when necessary and meet tight deadlines
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to learn quickly
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK be considered for this post
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 depending on experience
