- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Job Summary:
Watsan Action - Tirta Lestari works with
disadvantaged Indonesian communities to improve water sanitation
conditions through educational activities and participatory projects. The
overall purpose of the Community Development Officer job is develop an overall community engagement strategy for project activities
targeting key audiences and priorities for communicating with community in Watsan Action - Yayasan Tirta Lestari following programs:
- Public Health Promotion
- Clean Water Program
- Improved Sanitation Program
- Solid Waste Management Program

Base location: Jakarta Selatan
Report to: Public Health Promotion Lead and Technical
Lead.
Work hours: 8:30 – 17:30, Monday – Friday (40 hours a week)

Job Description:
- Work with Community Engagement team to leverage and strengthen local resources, such as village leaders, Posyandu, Paud and religion leaders, to promote engagement;
- Work collaboratively with public health lead, technical lead and field officer to provide information on local contexts to develop effective behaviour change communication materials and local organization development;
- Support program planning, design, and delivery of local community events convened by 4 program in watsan action such health promotion program, improve sanitation programe, clean water program and solid waste management programe in order to garner public support and increase participation programe.
- Build relationships with local government, companies, community groups, and other NGOs to develop mutually beneficial networks, particularly for the communities we serve.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on
the effectiveness of program outputs and
in achieving quarterly and annual target indicators
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Social Sciences (Anthropology and Sociology) or community development, or related field;
- At least 4 years' experience in community development, particularly interventions at the village level, on NGO
- Knowledge of Indonesian environmental health program
- Knowledge and experience in implementation of urban community concept
- Experience in posyandu or community based enviromental health organizing;
- Experience in working in slum area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in team situations;
- Fluency in Indonesian and English languages.
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Logical and competent decision-making skill
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet
- Understanding and sensitivity of social and cultural diversities
