Social Sector Specialist
JOB PURPOSE
Undertake analytical, thematic
and sector work in health, with a focus on public health system or
health economics. Identify, develop, process and administer loans,
technical assistance (TAs) projects, and non-lending products and
services on health. Contribute to the development of policies dealing
with the social sectors in Developing Member Countries (DMCs). Work
within broad policies and objectives with supervision for unfamiliar or
critical tasks.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Supervisor: Director, Human and Social Development Division (SAHS)
- The following staff positions may be supervised by the incumbent:
- Administrative Staff
- National Staff
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A University degree in health or economics related field, preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in the health sector (preferably in public health system or health economics) or other related fields
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- International work experience in development in several countries
