Chemonics International Inc. seeks short-term Task 4 Manager
to be located in Jakarta for the USAID-funded Indonesia Marine and Climate
Support (IMACS) project. This project provides technical support for improving
key marine and fisheries sector components with the Ministry of Marine Affairs
and Fisheries (MMAF), local governments, coastal communities, and the private
sector.
The Task
4 Manager will ensure implementation
of Task 4 annual project activities, deliverables and budgets in coordination
with other IMACS tasks and overall project objectives. He/she will coordinate
Marine Resources Program initiatives, assist and support the M&I Manager
with monitoring and evaluation planning and the communications team with
communications activities.
Specific requirements
The Manager is
responsible for coordinating implementation of Task 4 activities in the work
plan. The Manager will undertake to maintain the
approved schedule of activities, and propose timely and cost-effective
adjustments to mitigate implementation constraints and delays.
- The Manager shall identify any needs for technical assistance under Task 4, develop scopes of work, assist in the identification and selection of qualified consultants, and oversee their performance.
- The Manager shall provide technical assistance to other IMACS components as may be required from time to time, such as conducting field/institutional assessments and assisting with development and coordination of IMACS materials.
- The Manager will assist with the review and edit of deliverables compiled by Task 4 project staff and consultants as a quality control measure; ensure Task 4 benchmarks and deliverables are met and completed in a timely & cost-effective manner; and support the M&E Manager to ensure collection, analysis, and reporting on PMP data & information in accordance with prescribed requirements and schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, with higher education qualifications preferred.
- Experience working with coastal community needs in fisheries, climate change, and/or livelihood activities is highly desirable.
- At least three year experiences working with international donor funded programs or private companies in Indonesia.
- Proven experience in event management among multiple stakeholders, report writing, communication/photography, and translation/interpretation.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia required.
