Country Director – Tanzania
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Restless
Development is the banner carrier for youth-led development,
demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young
people can and must play a lead role in development.
We’ve
been in Tanzania for the last twenty years, growing, changing and
responding to the most urgent issues facing young Tanzanians. Directly
reaching over 110,000 young people across 14 regions each year, it is
our young volunteers and youth networks that lead and deliver
transformative change with and for young people.
We're
now recruiting for a new Country Director in Tanzania to build on the
successful legacy of our outgoing Director by leading the review,
development and implementation of our next Tanzania strategy (2016 to
2021). From the agency’s office in Dar es Salaam (and with regular
travel to our offices in the Southern Highlands and other zones), s/he
will lead the direction of 40 staff members, through the management of a
Number 2 who heads up operations of the agency in country. The Country
Director will work alongside a dynamic National Board made up of
currently 10 members, and will inherit established networks and
partnerships with a range of national civil society partners, bi-lateral
and multi-lateral donors and government.
