Purpose of the position
The Manager General Affairs is
responsible for the management of the systems of administrative support
at ZOA in Uganda. Systems include the financial administration, the
security systems, the logistics services, computer systems and
administrative support to the management of human resources.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Supervision of the financial administration, technical backstopping support to administrators in the program areas, security systems, logistics service, computer systems and human resources systems within ZOA Uganda, integrating systems of ZOA international (PMS and ZOA Information System).
- Ensure the proper functioning of the ZOA Office in Kampala.
- Management and control of contracts of staff, donors and suppliers; as well as of procedures for tendering in accordance with the requirements of the donors.
- Contribute to the development of staff promoting good oversight and evaluation systems and organizing regular training and coaching sessions according to granted personal development plans.
- Adherence to the ZOA Uganda management team and contribute to the development of ZOA Uganda.
Profile
- A person hands-on, flexible, communicative, transparent, creative, tolerant to stress.
- University degree in the field of finance or / and economy, and good knowledge of accounting procedures and computerized financial administration.
- Evidence of good experience of 3 years in administration of humanitarian projects. Experience in the fields of informatics, logistics and human resources is an asset.
- Effective and participatory leadership skills.
- Organizational sensitivity and ability to work in a team.
- Good ability to negotiate with the authorities and suppliers in a professional way.
- Excellent communication and written in English.
- Being a Christian; adhering to the Christian identity of ZOA;
- The candidate is expected to support the vision and mission of ZOA.
Special conditions
Up to 25% may be required for travel in country
