Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for the
Sustainable Land Use Planning Coordinator, Jakarta based,
on our USAID LESTARI project. USAID’s LESTARI project supports the
Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
conserve biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically significant
forest and mangrove ecosystems.
Job
Summary: The Sustainable Land Use Planning Coordinator provides
technical support to LESTARI partners to incorporate existing Strategic
Environmental Assessments (SEAs) and Landscape Conservation Plans (LCPs)
recommendations in the
LESTARI landscapes in Aceh, Central Kalimantan and Papa focusing on
reduced GHG emissions through LEDS and increased biodiversity
conservation. Providing guidance to regional counterparts, regular
reference will be made to the set of generic and customized
landscape maps down to operational sub-landscapes to ensure that the

lead Jakarta based technical staff and governance and GIS staff and
partners in monitoring implementation of spatial plans and zonation at
the district level. This includes building capacity for more scientific

Assessments developed at the start of the project and, together with the
Spatial Planning & GIS Specialist, document and
communicate progress towards project and district GHG emission
reduction targets.
Requirements
include previous experience in spatial planning, forest governance and
or sustainable landscape issues in Indonesia, preferably with experience
in forestry, land-use and climate change issues in Indonesia;
