An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of the Global Impact Director at Adara Development, the international non-profit development arm of the Adara Group.
The Adara Group is a unique
business-non-profit partnership. The Adara corporate advisory
businesses, exist for the sole purpose of funding Adara Development, a
leading international INGO. Adara Development specialise in maternal
infant child health, children at risk, and remote and rural health and
education. We work through three pillars: research, service delivery and
knowledge sharing. The Adara Group aims to change the way people think
about the role of business, and the power of business/non-profit
partnerships.
The Global Impact Director will be
part of our Global Leadership Team. They will lead the monitoring,
evaluation and associated research of our programs and work as a part of
the key team as we map and plan how we share our knowledge and
experience and scale our work to make the greatest impact possible.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure Adara’s work is demonstrably evidence-based and needs driven
- To lead and manage our research team to a standard of international best practice
- To ensure Adara’s knowledge and experience is used to achieve maximum impact
- To build, lead and manage the Impact Department, and ensure its effectiveness.
Required Competencies
The successful applicant must possess the following:
- Extensive prior work experience in international development and an excellent understanding of the complexities involved in delivering aid
- Senior management and leadership experience and skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with experience in designing research projects, collecting and analysing data, presenting findings or results, and monitoring and evaluating projects
- Ability to prioritise issues, execute decisions calmly and decisively, promote and encourage creativity, openness, innovation, honesty and fairness
- High level of communication skills – written and verbal in a multi-cultural context
- The capacity to travel internationally for blocks of up to three weeks at a time
This position is a permanent,
full-time role, based at our Global Support Office in Rozelle Sydney,
reporting to the CEO of Adara Development. The working environment is
informal but professional, with very high standards of output and
delivery. We are a happy, enthusiastic, and energy filled group, with a
great work culture.
This is a demanding role where you
will need to work at the highest level, often under pressure and with
