We are currently looking for Field Manager and Clinical Evaluation Team to work in our EMAS Project.
The Summit Institute of Development (SID) in conjunction with Harvard
T.H. Chan School of Public Health and JPHEIGO are offering exciting
opportunities in Expanding Maternal and Neonatal Survival (EMAS) Project
for early-mid career level people interested in pursuing careers in
public health, international development, or any related field. SID is a
non-profit research and service delivery organization committed to
saving lives through the improvement in health and human development at
the community level through participatory evidence-based decision-making
and sustainable action.
The USAID/Indonesia Expanding Maternal and Neonatal Survival (EMAS)
project, is a five year program to support Government of Indonesia to
reduce maternal and newborn mortality. EMAS works with Indonesia
government agencies civil society organization, public and private
health facilities, health professional organization and private sector.
The EMAS program is being implemented in over 150 hospitals and 300
community health centers in six provinces (Banten, West Java, Central
Java, East Java, North Sumatra and South Sulawesi) with the largest
concentrations of maternal and newborn deaths.
The two aims of the projects are to o improve the quality of care of
public and private health facilities for maternal and newborn health and
the efficiency and effectiveness of referral systems for maternal and
newborn health.
CLINICAL EVALUATION TEAM - Code E01
As part of the clinical team, you be primarily responsible for
conducting all clinical assessment including labor and delivery
observation, facility inventories and referral case tracking in 1 of the
6 EMAS participating provinces. You will be required to travel to
various participating hospitals and puskesmas located in the selected
district within a province.
Involvement in this evaluation will bring you into contact with leading
International and local health organizations and you will gain exposure
to the large scale Maternal and Child Health Programs and develop your
experience in conducting rigorous evaluations. This role is a full-time
short-term contract and requires applicant to be available &deliver
observations in facilities from May- August 2016
Requirement:
- Graduated midwife field, with 2 year clinical experience will be advantage
- Not a civil servant or government officer employee
- Strong experience in clinical assessment
- Strong computer and database skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills (in English and Bahasa Indonesia)
- Preferable domicile on one of the province where the study located
- Willing to be placed in 1 of the 6 EMAS participating provinces
