Director of International Programmes

Salary £51,500 plus contributory pension scheme
Could you lead our diverse operations to
ensure Retrak’s business plans and contractual obligations achieve our
strategic aims and vision that no child is forced to live on the street?
Do you have at least 5 years of overseas
experience working in a senior programme management role for an
international children’s organisation and have a Masters degree in an
international development or aid related subject?
You will be responsible for overall
operational leadership in Retrak, including delivery and design of high
quality and effective programmes for street children and families in
Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kenya, DR Congo and now also in
Brazil. You should have had direct operational experience in at least
3-4 of these specific countries. Ability to speak French, Swahili and
Amharic will be a definite advantage. You must be available to spend a
minimum of six months of each year travelling to our various project
sites.
Your expertise should lie in overseeing
international operations with a strong track record in managing country
directors remotely. You will represent Retrak at a high level and
provide the strategic direction for the organisation as part of our
Executive Team. Our Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Vulnerable
Persons Policies across the organisation are also under your
guardianship.
You will be responsible for the
development of a new quality service model across all our countries of
operation, to ensure compliance of this programme and you will have
experience in the delivery of training packages around street children
and child protection.

you will have responsibility to encourage country teams in the
application of their Christian faith.
