Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for
Terrestrial Biodiversity Liaison Officer (STTA), Jakarta based,
on our USAID LESTARI project. USAID’s LESTARI project supports the
Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
conserve biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically
significant forest and mangrove ecosystems.
Job Summary:
The
Liaison Officer will work closely with USAID to support the
secretariat of the Technical Team for USAID’s Terrestrial Biodiversity
Program and facilitate communication among USAID, Bappenas,
Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the other relevant government
agencies. This individual will report regularly to the Director and
Deputy Director of the USAID Environment Office. On a day-to-day basis,
the Liaison Officer will take guidance from
and work closely with USAID Indonesia,’s Forestry staff, especially the
Forest and Climate Change.
Requirements
include previous experience minimum of 5 years in working with
international development, environmental conservation, or a related
field (includes a minimum of 5 years
working with Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and Bappenas); must
be able to interpret Government of Indonesia agency policy, guidance and
follow procedures accurately; demonstrated ability to play with high
degree of diplomacy, consensus-building, teamwork,
maturity, independence, and flexibility to effectively fulfill the
responsibilities of the position and complexities of the position; and
familiarity with USAID procedures and regulations. University degree in
Forestry, Environmental Science, International
Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science,
or related development field.
