- CINI, the Italian Network of International NGOs.
- Terre des Hommes Italia (TDH IT) assists more than 1 million children
and their families and communities, through 88 projects in 20 countries.
Since
the beginning of the Syria crisis and Iraq, with the support of various
donors (UNICEF, UNHCR, BMZ, Canadian Government, Department of Foreign
Affairs, Trade and Development and Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
TDH IT has provided assistance to Syrian refugee and Iraqi IDPs families
fleeing their country and looking for shelter in Kurdistan-Iraq, as
well as to the Kurdish host communities.
In order to support the
resilience and well-being of children affected by Syrian and Iraqi
crisis through community based, structured activities conducted in a
safe, child friendly and stimulating environment, TDH Italy is looking
for a program coordinator to join our team in order to support the
program implementation.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the planning and programming of activities according to project proposals and donor requirements.
- Responsible for overseeing all daily activities.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring reporting for all implemented activities.
- Coordinating with relevant actors and stakeholders.
- Guide and support the staff in the area of activity by providing on-the-job training and advice and plan the capacity building process of the staff.
- Responsible for ensuring proper data collection and reporting from field staff.
- Compiling and processing all data from field staff.
- Ensuring all documentation is correctly stored and archived.
- Assist with conducting child protection and/or rapid protection assessments, when required
- Responsible for ensuring daily monitoring of activities and staff.
- Responsible for ensuring all employees follow their work schedule and work plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that all staff members follow their TORs and code of conduct, issuing warnings if code of conduct is breached by staff member.
- Ensure the implementation of the projects in the area of the activity according to the log frame and in coordination with the activities’ coordinators and the child protection team.
- Follow up the respect of the working plans defined and adjust accordingly.
- Ensure a harmonized and efficient usage of the projects resources and assets.
- Ensure donor and TdH procedures, guidelines and rules are followed.
- Supervise that project documentation archive is kept in order and updated.
- Ensure that the logistics supply plan is followed.
- Develop a reporting schedule for the donor.
- Draft donor narrative reports to be reviewed by the Area Coordinator and coordinate with the FO regarding the financial reports.
- Ensure TdH It representation in the area of activity before local authorities, partners and other stakeholders including coordination meetings.
- Ensure donor and organization's visibility at field level.
- Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics (conflict solving).
- Liaise with the logistician regarding the procurement procedures.
Experience and requirements:
- Education degree: Bachelor or University Degree in social work, sociology, economics, business administration, education, law, psychology, art, the humanitarian or relevant field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in working with NGOs and INGOs.
- Excellent understanding of protection issues in complex and mixed emergency (refugee and IDPs).
- Experience in Project management and coordination is required.
- Experince in budgeting and financial administration.
- Knowlage of the cluster system.
- Coordination and time management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience working in child protection is preferable.
- Experience working with refugee or IDP communities is preferable.
- Training in child protection, protection, SGBV and/or case management is preferable.
- Ability to work in team.
- Problem solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Arabic and/or Kurdish is an asset.
