Venture, an investment fund financing innovative social projects, is
looking for a passionate and motivated project manager in charge of
rural development around the world.
Livelihoods
is convinced of the necessity to invent a new model that would allow
companies to have a hands-on approach to sustainability. One of its main
objectives is to set-up and strengthen sustainable supply and value
chains. The funds are used to promote projects maximizing both the
social and environmental impacts on local communities.
Local
investments are dedicated to helping rural farming communities restore
their ecosystems in order to sustainably improve their incomes and
livelihoods.
In the years to come, 120 million euros are going to be invested in more than 40 projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate the projects undertaken by local project managers based in Asia, Africa and Latin America
- Assess the risks and opportunities – in cooperation with the Finance and Development departments, as well as with local project managers
- Structure and coordinate the activities to deliver the results expected by the investors in terms of quality, quantity and deadline compliance

Experience:
- Indisputable field experience in project management in rural areas in developing countries
- Experience in project management in NGOs, public institutions – in a company would be a plus.
- Education in agronomy or agriculture
- Expertise in the implementation of agronomical projects
Skills:
- Ability to understand and deal with complexity
- Ability to work with numerous intermediaries in an intercultural context
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
