and research and evaluation— to achieve these goals. We are currently seeking
qualified candidates for the position of Consultant for Adolescent Reproductive Health
(ARH) Program in Jakarta.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Johns Hopkins Center for
Communication Programs (JHCCP), with continued financial support from The Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) has begun “Adolescent Landscaping” project. It
is designed to contribute to the Government of Indonesia’s target to lower ASFR
15-19, from 49 per 1000 at this time, to 38 per 1000 in 2019.
The objective of The Adolescent
Landscaping Project is getting a comprehensive picture of the trend and current
situation of the reproductive health among adolescent (both married and
unmarried) and the implementation of adolescent program associated with
reducing birth rate and increasing age of marriage.
The outcome of the landscaping will be a basis for
discussion for future program improvements that will be conducted by BKKBN, as
well as stakeholders of ARH program in Indonesia, both from the government,
NGOs, CSOs, and adolescent networks center.
GENERAL
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the guidance
of Country Representative, direct supervision of Senior Program Officer and in
collaboration with the research center of a university* (*university to be later on selected), the Consultant will specifically
be responsible to assist in analyzing, reviewing and
compiling available information/data/ reports about ARH in Indonesia, and, in
developing ARH landscaping.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree or higher in relevant discipline,
preferably in reproductive health, Obs&Gyn, public health, demography, communication
and/or other related social science field, with a minimum of 7 years relevant
experience with ARH program’s development and international
development programs in analyzing surveys in Indonesia, preferably, large scale of surveys, especially the ones related to ARH issues,
such as, SDKI, SKRRI, and Susenas; has a good networking with key stakeholders
of ARH in Indonesia; ability to work in a multi-cultural setting under tight
deadlines; and, have excellent communication skills, including fluency in
written and spoken in both English and Indonesia.
