As Head of
Project you will be responsible for the implementation and coordination
of a project promoting food and nutrition security in the Ayrarewarddy
Delta, supporting agriculture producer groups, village development
committees and nutrition groups.
Your most important duties are:

- Management of the project according to the co-financing agreement and Welthungerhilfe standards and based on the project cycle
- Coordination of all administration, logistics and financial management
- Ensuring correct and orderly financial planning and handling
- Responsibility for the security of local staff involved in the project and for the implementation of the Welthungerhilfe security plan
- Ensuring the timely preparation of all narrative and financial project reports
- Contract management with all stakeholders in Bogale
- Communication with the Country Director and the Regional Directorate regarding the project progress and challenges
As a qualified applicant you will possess the following:
- A university or polytechnical degree, e.g. in agriculture, nutrition, environmental studies or a comparable relevant qualification
- Several years of project and leadership experience in the planning and implementation of multi-sector development projects, ideally in the region
- Experience in the management of institutional donor funded projects
- Working experience in agriculture, value chain management and cbo development
- Communication skills and ability to work in a team
- A very good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of German and Burmese is an asset
