Title: Finance Controller
Location: Timor - Leste

CARE
Australia is looking to fill the position of Finance Controller in our
Timor-Leste Office. This role is responsible for managing the overall
CARE Timor-Leste mission budget, including ensuring accounting
procedures and policies are being adhered to and financial management
processes, practices and systems are fit for purpose, transparent and
efficient. The position will provide effective financial management of
the Timor-Leste Office operations through building a strong team of
finance staff encouraging collaboration and mutual understanding with
program staff.
We’re
looking for someone with relevant qualifications in Accounting or Commerce / Economics and extensive strategic and operational experience in
accounting and financial management with an international NGO or
similar organisation in a developing country. Your experience in
capacity building of staff and strong people management experience will
be complemented your ability to respond effectively to challenges and
strong analytical skills. Your well-developed communication skills as
well as the ability to build and maintain networks and relationships
will be highly regarded.
