ABOUT THE JOB: JUMP! is currently seeking a skilled
Director of Operations to be located in the Bangkok hub. This individual
will be an outgoing and goal-oriented professional who will play a lead
role in establishing a multi-regional organizational structure with two
hubs; one in Bangkok, Thailand, and the other in Beijing, China. The
Director of Operations will work closely with the Executive Director
(ED) to execute organizational responsibilities as directed by the Board
of Directors, and will oversee and organize the work of the operations
teams in Bangkok and Beijing, including all aspects of finance,
accounting, human resources, and organizational systems and processes.
They will drive initiatives within the organization to increase
long-term operational excellence by proactively finding ways to improve
operational support services.

- Advises the ED and other senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and human resources matters.
- Works with the ED to create and support the organization’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
- Manages the Operations Teams in Bangkok and Beijing hub.
- Performs other operational tasks as directed by the Executive Director.
- Directs annual budgeting and planning process for the organization's annual budget with Executive Director, and monitoring cash flow.
- Oversees monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Supervises short and long-term financial and managerial reporting including ensuring the bookkeeping process and monthly close occurs on time.
- Prepares partnership contracts and memorandums of understanding with schools.
- Updates and implements financial systems and processes to align with programmatic and organizational demands, and manages the training of team members accordingly.
- Supervises the annual audit process with the auditor in Hong Kong to ensure compliance, and liaises with China Operations team to ensure China entity audit information
- Implements, maintains, and reviews recruitment and onboarding/induction systems and processes.
- Identifies organizational staffing needs and drives forward hiring procedures.
- Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct performance appraisals and exit interviews.
- Creates and updates comprehensive program of continuous learning, training, and professional development for staff.
- Ensures payroll and employee benefits are administered correctly, and undertakes regular review of compensation package structure.
- Oversees management of IT platforms including Google suite, Box, CRM system, Expensify, Xero, Organisational Wiki, and the website.
- Ensures all staff are trained in the use of IT platforms relevant to their daily work.
- Liaises with lawyers to ensure all legal compliance (Hong Kong) is up to date.
- Drives forward Thailand registration of the organization and ensures future compliance.
- Minimum 7+ years of management, finance, and human resources experience.
- Entrepreneurial team player with demonstrated success in facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
- Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise
- Able to juggle multiple projects with ease and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may quickly change day to day.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent project management skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; at ease in liaising with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to senior management.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience in financial modelling; proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- MBA qualification.
- Previous management experience with a non-profit organization.
- Interest in experiential education and passion for working with youth.
- Conversational proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Thai.
