About our organization
The World Agro forestry Centre (also known as ICRAF) in Southeast Asia is
the region’s leading agro forestry research-in-development organization
which generates science-based knowledge about the complex role trees play
in agricultural landscapes and rural livelihoods. Aspart of the Centre’s
work to bring tree-based solutions to bear on poverty and environmental
problems, researchers – working in close collaboration with partners –
are developing new technologies, tools and policy recommendations for
increased food security and ecosystem health.
The Centre’s headquarters are located in Nairobi, Kenya, and research is
conducted in 34 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We
are supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural
Research (CGIAR) and receive funding from over 50 different donors.
About the position
The Indonesia Communications Coordinator will work closely with
the Indonesia Country Coordinator (with reference to the Regional
Communications Specialist) to ensure effective communication of the work
of ICRAF in Indonesia to a range of audiences from local through national
to international.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline (communications, media, international relations, public policy, development, marketing, science, project management,law etc.).
- At least five years’ experience in communications or related discipline at a strategic level.
- Personal Competencies
- Able to generate strategic, creative and practical approaches to overcome challenging situations.
- Extensive,active network of relationships in the target sectors or demonstrated ability to create and maintain them.
- Demonstratedability to think strategically to achieve goals.
- Extremely good time, people and project management skills; self-directed; well-organized; able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a multicultural environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Ability to travel within Indonesia and externally.
