Refugee Youth is a
small national charity that aims to combat the alienation that young
refugees in the UK can experience, by supporting different opportunities
for their development, inclusion and integration into the wider
community. We use the creative arts to connect with young people and
explore the issues affecting them. Our activities help them to learn
vital new skills, build their confidence and take leadership in their
communities. We work primarily with young refugees aged 18-25 yrs, from
over 40 different countries.
We are looking for a Coordinator to
be responsible for the overall management of the charity, including
development and delivery of RYs strategic plan.
Although
experience of working in a charity and with refugees or young people is
desirable, applications from individuals with relevant experience, such
as managing a small organisation, a fundraising department in a large
charity or significant experience in project management will be welcome.
Essential skills that are required include strategic fundraising abilities and experience in supporting staff members.
The position will initially be fixed term and part time (3 days per week) for a 6-month period, with possibility for extension.
Please submit your CV and cover letter by 5pm on Monday 10 October 2016 to
