RTI is seeking a dynamic Senior Human Resource professional to join our Asia team in
Jakarta to provide strategic and innovative solutions to the everyday needs of
programs and staff. We currently
implement programs in health, education, governance, work-force development,
research-to-industry, and evidence-based policy-making in Indonesia, the
Philippines, Nepal, India, China, and provide support for those programs out of
our Asia Regional Office, in Jakarta. The HR professional we are looking for
has experience in working across the region, skillfully navigating across
cultures, languages, and time-zones. S/he has very strong people skills, and is
solution oriented. This position requires strong interaction with RTI’s Home
Office, in North Carolina, USA, and the ability to bridge and communicate
central Home Office policies with regional needs. We are seeking a Human
Resources champion who embodies our mission to improve the human condition while
turning knowledge into practice.
S/he serves as the Senior HR Generalist and Advisor for
RTI’s Regional Office supporting RTI activities in Asia. Serves as a member of
the RTI Asia Regional Office Senior Management Team. Provides strategic HR and
operational support services to projects and activities in Asia in all major HR
functional areas (employment administration, employee relations, compensation
and benefits, talent acquisition, and talent management). Partners, consults,
and facilitates resolutions to business challenges and opportunities. Ensures support and effective management of
HR staff within the region and provides direct support as requested within the
Region. Directly manages Regional Office HR team and indirectly supports
Project HR Managers within the Region. This position reports to the Regional
Office Operations Director and the Sr. VP HR.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 15-20 years’ related
experience; MA degree and 10-15 years related experience or equivalent combination
of education and experience; strong working knowledge of and experience in
international and local national HR; experience in several countries in the
Asia region; working knowledge of
and experience in local labor and employment laws and legal resources in Indonesia
required, regional knowledge preferred; familiarity with international
development funders, systems and policies; ability to prioritize issues and make
recommendations to policies; High degree of professionalism and discretion;
culturally astute; ability to work independently as well as manage matrix
teams; highly effective partnership and collaboration skills; strong writing
and presentation skills in English with ability to communicate well within and
across diverse groups and perspectives; extremely strong organizational skills
as well as the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast paced
multi-tasking environment; ability to prioritize issues and make
recommendations to policies; ability to resolve business issues in interest of
RTI; excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel; solid facilitation
and training skills; fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia Required; Indonesian
citizens strongly preferred.
