Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering one-on-one mentoring and tutoring using a variety of materials and teaching techniques to enhance student learning, achieve core indicators of performance, and maintain student interest, thereby resulting in student retention
- Monitoring student’s progress towards core indicators of performance, to include acquiring specific skills FL skills
- Maintaining confidentiality of student records and personal information at all times
- BA in counseling, social work, education, or closely related degree from an accredited college or university,
- 3 years of experience providing financial literacy education;
- Spanish language fluency;
- Demonstrated ability to work with low literacy English as a Second Language speakers;
- Demonstrated success in tutoring vulnerable populations in a community-based setting;
- Direct experience in working with low income households;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
- Keen attention to detail;
- Ability to provide effective follow-up on individual activities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
- Strong time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work well independently and in teams;
- Track record of being able to produce work in a timely manner, with flexibility when necessary to adapt to changing work conditions;
