Description
Citizens for a Healthy Community (CHC), a nonprofit 501(c)3, is looking for an Associate Program Director to join it in leading the fight against oil and gas development in one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world--the Delta County region of Western Colorado. This is a full-time, high-energy, fast-paced, salaried position with some travel and weekend availability required. We are looking for the right person with strong advocacy, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, who can assist the Executive Director in running CHC’s Protect the North Fork, Government Accountability and Air Quality Monitoring Programs.
The Associate Program Director is responsible for research, monitoring of oil and gas activity and proposals, and program coordination. The CHC office is in downtown Paonia, CO. Salary is commensurate upon experience, and includes a generous paid-time-off leave policy.
Organization
Citizens for a Healthy Community (CHC) is a 450-member strong grassroots organization established by a group of residents in 2009, who were concerned about the risks of large-scale oil and gas development to the community’s health. Our mission is to protect communities within the air, water and foodsheds of the Delta County region of Southwestern Colorado from the impacts of oil and gas development through advocacy, research, being a watchdog, implementing safeguards, community mobilization, and education.
