Main objective: Coordinate Project Activities

Reporting to: Vocational Project Manager


Specific duties: 

  • Coordinate and follow up the overall project activities implemented by the partners: Makhzoumi foundation (in Tripoli and Beirut), Don Bosco school (Fidar-Jbeil) and the Basilien Salvatorien order (Saida and Zahle), as well as the activities directly managed by the consortium AVSI-CESVI;
  • Be the liaison person between the two NGOs involved in the consortium;
  • Elaborate the partnership agreement with the Project Manager; will held regular meetings of coordination with the partners; will monitor their activities towards the time frame and logframe;
  • Be in charge of the follow up of the procurement, staffing and logistic needs of the project, collaborating with the specific AVSI departments;
  • Coordinate with the M&E department for the follow up and reporting of the project activities;
  • Ensure the elaboration of quarterly report to be submitted to the donor on project achievements, problems encountered, and lesson learn, as well as any needed project documentation, through reports and other visibility tools;
  • Attend meetings with local representatives of the UN and local concerned authorities, as well as with other donors or project stakeholders, whenever required;
  • Attend meetings with local and international NGOs officers, private sector and civil society representatives, whenever required;
  • Coordinate and supervise Vocational field staff and finalize with the field team the operational work plans;
  • Facilitate the communication and cross-cutting activities among Outreach, Vocational, BLN and Life skills teams;
  • Supervise all field activities and liaise with communities, schools, and Vocational Project Manager;
  • Represent AVSI in the regional meetings upon request;
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.
Essential Requirement:

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Economics, Agriculture, Business administration (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of three year professional experience. Previous trainings, vocational education and development projects are a plus. 
  • English and French mandatories. Arabic and Italian an advantage.
