Forest Stewardship Council Job Vacancy: Programme Manager Digital Communications - Bonn, Germany

The Programme Manager Digital Communications is responsible for the provision of all online communications efforts of FSC to stakeholders worldwide.

Core functions of the position include planning, implementing and managing websites, social media campaigns and other online tools, as well as overseeing the quality and consistency of website content, coordinating the development and maintenance of website features, and coordinating the development of project sites for the FSC Group and Network.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
  • To manage overall online communications efforts including developing relevant strategies.
  • To coordinate with FSC Group and Network to maintain consistent, timely, high quality website content, based on the developed global framework.
  • To appoint, designate and manage external consultants to maintain and develop technical requirements.This includes managing the work plans of consultants.
  • To ensure adequate training of all relevant staff and consultants.
  • To monitor performance and produce relevant reports, recommendations, materials and other documents as needed.
  • To source, develop and manage online internal communication processes and platforms.
  • To design, develop and provide operational maintenance of multiple campaign sites.
  • To keep informed of digital communications trends, and advise communications team on most appropriate platforms, as required.
  • To supervise and manage the staff of the Digital Communications Programme (currently one Website Officer).
  • Additional Tasks as agreed with the Communications Director.
