We are currently seeking qualified candidate for Community Video Consultant.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (JHCCP), with continued financial support from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Gates Foundation) will support BKKBN in the implementation of “Kampung KB (Family Planning Hamlet).” It is designed to contribute to the Government of Indonesia’s initiative that is aimed to empower and improve the welfare conditions of the poor and underprivileged communities in rural area. The initiative was launched in 2016 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. With BKKBN as the key stakeholder, this initiative is involving various sectors of developments to pursue one Kampung KB per district on the first year of implementation.
The objective of The Kampung KB Project is to improve the quality of life of the community through multi-sector programs, such as, family planning and family development, health, education, women’s empowerment, as well as other related development programs in order to achieve a better quality of life for the family and community.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the guidance of the Kampung KB Coordinator and in collaboration with CCP’s team and counterparts, the consultant’s role will specifically, but not limited to, be to develop manuals for training on community video and provide training on community video for kampung facilitators and other stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree or higher in relevant discipline, preferably in communication, arts, community development and/or other related social science field, with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience with international development programs; strong facilitation skills, knowledge and experience in community video facilitation, has experience in designing community video module, has excellent communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken in both English and Indonesia.
