The Position
You as the successful candidate will assist in the further development of a novel gas-liquid contacting device that is aimed at making substantial cost reductions in the post-combustion capture (PCC) of carbon dioxide from power station.
This will include laboratory work - mini-pilot plant experimental work and the design; as well as construction and operation of a single stage contactor module to be operated at the Vales Pt. PCC Pilot Plant.
Location: Newcastle NSW
Salary: $78K - $88K plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be successful you will need:
Relevant Bachelors/Masters Degree &/or equivalent experience in chemical or mechanical engineering or similar fields, encompassing knowledge of fluid dynamics and/or mass transfer.
Proven ability to design, construct and operate experimental equipment at laboratory and mini-pilot scale
Proven ability to analyse data using spreadsheets or similar tools and arrive at defendable conclusions and recommendations
Proven ability to prepare technical reports and assist in the preparation of scientific manuscripts and reports for publication
