The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organization that works to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence.
The Manila Shared Services Center (MSSC), based in Makati since 1992, provides a range of services mainly in the field of Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Reporting & Human Resources, to ICRC Headquarters in Geneva and delegations around the world.
With the Headquarters located in Geneva, the HR Shared Services was delocalized in Manila in 2016 and is now fully operational since January 2017. This new delocalized structure is part of the reorganization of the Human Resources department and is in line with the ICRC global corporate strategy.
Main Responsibilities and Activities:
Within the HR Shared Services, the remuneration specialist is in charge of all the salary reviews for mobile and HQ staff, meaning recruitment salaries, rehiring salaries and monthly salary review.
- Generate reports and conducts follow-up
- Collects the required information in order to determine the salaries (e.g. appraisal report, change of position,) and enters the information in the HR system
- Ensures salary reviews are done for mobile and HQ staff based on the appraisal report
- Calculates salaries at recruitment for mobile staff based on the information shared by the recruitment team and Pool Managers
- Calculates the rehiring salaries for mobile staff
- Analyzes and provides suggestions, feedback and best practices to the Center of expertise for Compensation and Benefits
- Focal point for every remuneration issues for mobile staff
- Edits salary letters for mobile and HQ staff
- Collaborates with the Centre of expertise for Compensation and Benefits, Pool Managers, and HR Managers in HQ and HR Shared Services Manila
Required Profile:
- University Degree in Human Resource Management, Administration, Information Systems or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in a similar function
- Understanding of Compensation and Benefits
- Proven proficiency in HR Information Systems (preferably PeopleNet, SAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on Excel
- Excellent capacity of analysis and synthesis
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally (both verbally and written)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Intermediate knowledge of French is preferred and additional knowledge of other languages an asset
- Workability with figures, knowledge in accounting an asset
- Team player, but capable of working independently and pro-actively
- Ability to be well-organized and structured
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
