The Role:
- Lead a vibrant and effective 21st century global aid organisation that continues to meet the needs of the international and Australian indigenous communities it serves, while meeting the challenges of the changing aid sector
- Nurture and build constructive relationships, nationally and internationally, with a range of stakeholders including the Board, governments, international multilateral organisations, NGOs, business leaders, media, donors and philanthropic organisations
- Foster a culture of innovation, embracing new technologies, and inspiring and empowering a culturally diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated success leading a large, complex global organisation ideally gained in international aid or public health. Experience working with Australian indigenous communities and/or government would be beneficial.
- Financial savvy and strong strategic and operational leadership abilities, with highly effective stakeholder relationship management, emotional intelligence and communication skills.
- A tenacious, motivational and culturally aware leadership style demonstrated through leading diverse teams in environments of change.
