VACANCY FOR COMMUNICATION MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
The Communication Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Working Group Leaders, and Administration Officer to develop and lead the implementation of PISAgro’s Communication Strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Develop and lead detailed work plan for implementation of PISAgro’s communication strategy.
- Work with Executive Director and Working Group Leaders to develop content and messages for traditional and new media channels (prints, broadcast, website, social media).
- Work with the Executive Director to write advertorial, press releases, op-‐ed articles for print/online media; write content of brochures, quarterly newsletters and other communication collaterals.
- Work with external contractors (e.g.: PR, EO, communications, graphic designer) in the design process of brochures, newsletter, other office, branding and communication materials; develop media campaigns, maintain media relations and media monitoring in support of PISAgro’s activities.
- Support PISAgro’s working groups to develop key messages for stakeholders.
- Work with Executive Director and Working Group Leaders to analyze and compile lessons learned as the basis for creating communications messages.
- Manage and coordinate events that include: PISAgro’s general meeting, workshop, exhibition, etc.
- Write report on the implementation of PISAgro’s secretariat activities; communication strategy or action plan.
QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
Education: University degree in communications, public relations or related discipline.
Work Experience
- At least 5 years experience related to public relations, media relations and communications.
- Familiarity with public affairs, communication strategy, conventional and new media utilization.
- Experience in developing and adapting multi-‐media messages for a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agriculture issue is a plus.
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective public outreach communication strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-‐disciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated familiarity with different media and message development and production.
- Excellent networks with public relations, media and event serviceproviders.
Languages
- Native fluency in spoken and written Indonesian.
- Professional competency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to engage in activities occurring in multiple field sites with multiple stakeholders across Indonesia.
- Be a strong team player able to work harmoniously with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
