Yayasan Plan International Indonesia is presently implementing its country strategic 4 (CS 4) covering fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society”. The organisation’s purpose is to “strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. This goal will be achieved by providing technical support and implementing quality programs and projects through partnership. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international levels.

Fundraising Director
Responsibilities:
Key Result Area (KRA) 1 : Develop and implement a resource mobilization and fundraising strategy to set and achieve the organization’s fundraising targets and help the organization to operationalize fundraising plans.
Indicators for success: Fundraising strategy and fund raising targets of Plan International Indonesia developed with detailed action plan in consultation with the resource mobilization team in order to achieve the targets with lower cost ratios and in line with Plan’s new purpose of promoting equality for girls. Researched, established and developed contacts and good working relationships maintained with existing and potential donors willing to engage in regular giving. Strengthened existing and new partnerships with corporates, including mapping of funding opportunities to generate funds. Developed and institutionalized systems and processes for donor database, donor retention and effective donor communication. Reviewed and analyzed return on investments with corrective actions, if needed. On-time and quality monthly updates and reports for the governing board.
Key Result Area (KRA) 2 : Support the dissemination of programs which use information strategically to enhance Child Rights and becoming a Recognized Voice as potential regular giving products
Indicators for success: Given advice to the Program Department and to partners in projects and programs that work closely with media (e.g. youth media groups, networks and platforms to share children’s work) as to what programs /projects can be used for fundraising. Collaborated with the Program Department and partners in the design and implementation of public campaigns, events and activities that include objectives of Development Education and Advocacy to and enhance fundraising opportunities. Directed and supervised the design and production of specific fundraising materials required and requested for particular programs and projects from both Plan Indonesia and Plan International.
Key Result Area (KRA) 3 : Actively participate in the overall management of the organization, of the department and capacity building of the fundraising team.
Indicators for success: Lead the management of regular giving donor contacts.Represent Plan Indonesia internally and externally on issues dealing with regular giving. Participate in the global/regional networks, actively contributing to the exchange of best-practices and joint efforts to improve quality and impact of Plan’s regular giving approaches and outcomes. Plan and supervise the departmental as well as individual staff performance.
Key Result Area (KRA) 4: Participate in the country management team (CMT) to provide effective leadership and decision making.
Indicators for success: Active participation in CMT meetings ensured, contributing significantly to decisions on policy andstrategic direction. Participation is open, cooperative, proactive and productive. Support extended to the team members across the organization to achieve organizational outcomes. Policies and strategies of Plan International incorporated in our work as well as proposing, updating and implementing changes to existing policies and strategies within Indonesia program. Plan Indonesia represented at national and international meetings, sharing experiences based on our program work. Contributions ensured for budget setting and monitoring to enable good stewardship of financial resources and expenditures authorized according to financial policy. Learning shared in the organization, supporting regular dialogue between programs and teams
Requirements:
Experience
MBA (Marketing), Business Management or related fields. At least five years in project fundraising management. Experience in managing fundraising and marketing role. 10 years of experience in senior management position. Significant leadership experience at senior management level in a growing organization; successful record in developing and implementing marketing, communication and fundraising strategy with multiple stakeholders. Experience in brand building/management. Good understanding of the donor analysis and consumer behaviour in a changing society. Ability to travel up to 90 days annually, sometimes at short notice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, policy development and fluent written/spoken English.
