SNV Indonesia is looking for a: Communication and Partnerships Officer

To support its operation, SNV is now seeking a highly qualified national candidate to fill in the position of Communication and Partnerships Officer to be based in our Jakarta Office.
S/he will formulate and implement internal and external communications policies and related processes (e.g. knowledge management), based on regional strategy, corporate policies and in consultation with other PR/Communication officers, in order to contribute to effective SNV branding and increased internal communication and knowledge sharing. S/he will work closely with project managers in managing the partnerhips with Government of Indonesia.
Responsibilities
- Corporate communications support to the Agriculture sector
- Develop external communication approach and planning based on corporate strategy, branding and desired positioning, formulate, edit, (ensure) produce and distribute communication materials (e.g. reports, documents, promotional movies, visuals)
- Support the development and use of case studies, set up and maintain infrastructure and process for knowledge exchange and enhancement within the country / region, by providing advice and circulating relevant materials. A minimum 1 story/ case studies/ lesson learned added each month.
- Set up, maintain and manage the quality of the Agriculture sector (specifically Palm Oil and Rubber) website and intranet as part of SNV worldwide intranet and internet, conform the SNV website / intranet standards and branding policy, and ensure / contribute to staff awareness and usage of the site.
- Close coordination with relevant Project Manager(s) and project team on the above mentioned points
- Government relation
- Work with the team to maintain positive working relations with the Government of Indonesia at national, provincial and district levels.
- Organise coordination and monitoring meetings of projects in close collaboration with Project Management of SNV as required in agreements with the Government of Indonesia.
- Gather relevant data (project, finance, HR) for the purpose of country planning and reporting to Government of Indonesia at national, provincial and district levels.
- For any government related activities, coordinate press / media contact, collect references to SNV in the press, maintains relations with the press, and may act as spokesperson to the press, edits press releases if required.
- Coordinate with relevant ministry in arranging work permit for foreign employees.
Candidate profile
- University Degree in Communication, Public Relations or other relevant discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in an international development organisation andn with Ministry of Home Affair would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including report writing
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Good negotiation and coordination skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- Ability to work independently and with the team
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Initiative and creative in solving problems
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, Power Point, Outlook/ Internet and social media platforms.
