The organisation works towards the empowerment of tribal communities as well as other socially disadvantaged communities living in the remote regions of Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Job Profile:
Working closely with the Officer HR, the HR Assistant shall provide operational support to ensure the effective functioning of Ekjut’s human resource systems, gaining a unique opportunity to shape the growth of the organization. Attention areas shall include recruitment, managing staff contracts, PF, leave records, record management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the recruitment process, including screening of applications, developing and releasing interview call letters, coordinating interviews and the early closure of recruitments, ensuring efficient turnaround times (TATs);
- Coordination with field offices in regards to recruitment activities and filing.
- Keeping leave records for all the employees and monthly update.
- Record keeping and maintaining all the related files
- Provident fund documentation and support
- Organizing employee engagement activities and workshops for improving employee satisfaction;
- Gratutity and insurance deJoining and exit process for all employees
- Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation.
- Provide payroll information by collecting and collating needed information.
- Submit employee related reports/notes by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
- Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
- Travel to field locations and meet filed teams as and when required
- In close collaboration with HR officer, assist in HR and related functions maintaining high standards
- Any other work assigned by Senior Team Members.
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or General Management.
- Applicants must possess two years of relevant work experience in Human Resources Management;
- Prior experience of working with the development sector, shall be an advantage.
- Confident and well-organized self-starter with the ability to work effectively on her/his own and with minimal supervision;
- Excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills with attention to detail;
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent inter-personal skills with a demonstrated ability to use judgment, initiative, tact and discretion, as appropriate;
- Excellent documentation and record keeping skill.
- Fluent in English and Hindi
- Advanced knowledge of popular computer applications, such as, Microsoft Office, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
