CRS has been supporting program activities in the Indonesia since 1957 and has long-standing
relationships with the Government of Indonesia, the Church and non-Church
partners and communities throughout the country. The Indonesia country program
has a diverse funding base with projects in food security and agricultural
livelihoods, emergency preparedness and response programs, disaster risk
reduction and capacity building program for partners.
CRS is looking for a qualified individual to serve as the Protection Officer and point person on Sexually Based Gender Violence (SGBV)
cases identified within the ESEA for
Refugees Program. The Protection
Officer will assist project implementation by working directly with local
partners and community members, coordinating various project activities and
events in support of CRS work to serve the poor and vulnerable; specifically,
the refugee population within Jakarta. The Protection Officer will serve as the
case manager for all identified SGBV cases, as well as organize and facilitate
awareness raising activities designed to prevent and reduce the rates of SGBV
within the refugee community.
The positions
will be based in Jakarta and led by a Project Manager.
Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in community development, case management and/or mobilization.
- Prior experience working in protection, social services and/or survivors of trauma strongly preferred.
- Experience in socio economic and market data collection
- Experience working with refugees from different countries is preferable
- Experience
using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including
web-based survey tools
