in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a
national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and
self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC
Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As
‘Prospect
Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new
member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our
voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has
been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising
locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable
local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong
local governance structure and building key partnerships with local
government, the private sector, local civil society
among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a
pathway to full membership.
We are currently seeking to fill the
following position:
Education In Emergency – Senior Project Officer (Banten Province)

ROLE PURPOSE:
The
Education in Emergency Senior Project Officer will participate in the
development of monthly work plans, supervised implementation program
activities at
field level in accordance with work plans, identified gap and lesson
learned, facilitating monitoring and evaluation support communications
/monitoring and advocacy, and represent Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik to
key local stakeholders including actively involved
in education cluster and related cluster to support Education in
Emergencies (EiE). Coordinate actively with Program Director Quality
(PDQ) Manager in CIA area and Basic Education/ECCD Technical Adviser in
Jakarta Country Office.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- At least 2 years of working experience in Education in Emergency fragile state or development programmes
- Relevant university degree (preferably MA) in education, social work, social sciences, psychology, development or other relevant field (relevant and significant work experience will also be considered)
- Excellent knowledge and skills in child rights, child protection, child participation, Community based approach, community resilience, psychosocial support, community/youth development and mobilization, especially in an emergency context
- Experience working with at-risk children and families,
- Experience of remote managing programmes in complex settings
- Proven capacity to coordinate, and coach staff in EiE skills and programme management
- Experience of, and commitment to, working through systems of community participation and accountability
- Proven experience as a trainer and in developing structured and comprehensive curricula and training manuals.
- Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically
- Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively and with people of diverse backgrounds
- Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
- A high level of written and spoken English
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles, including rights-based approaches
