The Human Safety Net Foundation is the
corporate foundation of Generali, the global insurance and asset
management financial services firm based in Italy. Working
internationally with the mission of unlocking human potential: we
protect, invest in, train and mentor people in disadvantaged conditions
while they create opportunities for themselves and their communities. We
now run programmes in 18 countries across Europe, Asia and Latin
America and have strategic focus areas in early childhood development
and refugee livelihoods through entrepreneurship and training.

The Foundation has been through a
significant strategic review in recent years and has refocussed its
activities while widening its geographical scope significantly. We are
at an exciting time in our development as we scale our operations and
drive our ambition to evolve from a classic model of corporate
philanthropy, to one that multiplies our assets and levers to include
social investment and systemic skills based mentoring and volunteering
on a large scale.
The Head of Programmes is a director
level role reporting to the Executive Officer of the Foundation. In this
role you will define programme priorities & strategy, overseeing
and coordinating a diverse and growing programme portfolio ensuring the
highest level of quality and impact. You will build relationships with a
wide range of stakeholders and partners and will identify and develop
new opportunities to grow the Human Safety Net platform, leveraging the
expertise and assets of the Generali Group through new programmes, such
as impact investing and shared value initiatives.
We look forward to welcoming a Head of
Programmes who brings extensive knowledge and networks within the
international impact investing and philanthropy sector, ideally with
consolidated experience in one of our focus areas. You will bring the
ability to think analytically and strategically to deliver programmes
and extend impact, alongside strong leadership and team working skills
to cultivate effective working relationships with a wide range of
internal and external stakeholder and partners. You will have a dynamic
and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to work under pressure to
manage multiple projects across multiple portfolios and geographies.
Professional level proficiency in English and Italian is highly
desirable.
