POSITION: TECHNICAL STAFF IN COMMUNICATION (CONSULTANT)
Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) is an intergovernmental organization for palm oil producing countries. The Council was established on 21 November 2015, thanks to genuine awareness of the need of mutual cooperation among palm oil producing nations.
Indonesia and Malaysia, the world’s biggest palm oil producers, are the founding father of the Council as well as the current members. The Council is now inviting other palm oil producing countries from Africa, Central America and Asia-Pacific. The Council seeks to unite world’s palm oil producers.
General purpose of the position:
Assisting the CPOPC Secretariat staffs in managing and implementing technical-related activities that include promotion of CPOPC and palm oil via media and public events; liaison with stakeholders; production of technical documents; and preparation and implementation of technical events.
Responsibilities:
- Co-develop technical materials that include working documents (i.e., reports, presentations, minutes of meeting, translations, and desk-research information) as well as communication contents (i.e., news, press release, digitals, and letters).
- Assist in liaising CPOPC Secretariat with palm oil stakeholders that includes ministries of member countries, business, associations, international organizations to fulfil necessary assignments.
- Assist in preparation and implementation of public events and activities in CPOPC member countries.
- Develop and manage social media and digital-content strategies and activities across communication channels.
- Participate in CPOPC activities on day to day basis.
Qualification:
- University graduate. Advance degree is an advantage;
- At least 10 years of professional experience with corporate, government and/or international organization;
- Strong background in research, reporting, and communication;
- Having a background and/or knowledge in palm oil is preferable.
- Skills in developing and/or managing social media and digital contents.
- Excellent skills in English writing is required.
- Proven experiences in managing events.
- Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and organized work practices.
Terms and Conditions
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration of Contract: 3 months, with potential extension.
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia.
Salary: USD 1.500 per month
