Islamic Relief Worldwide is an independent humanitarian and development organisation with a presence in 40 countries around the globe. Islamic Relief Worldwide is a UK based International relief. We have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world in which over three billion people still live in poverty.
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia was in operation since 2003 following the MOU signing with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The objective of IRW in Indonesia programme is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesia people and to alleviate the suffering. The main sector for the programme include:
- Water and Sanitation
- Sustainable livelihood
- Education
- Child Welfare
- Shelter
- Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response
- Climate Change
- Health and Nutrition
The geographical area of work include Banten, NTB, Aceh and Central Sulawesi province directly implementing or through partners. The operation in Palu is implemented through a local NGO partner.
Currently Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia is looking to recruit Logistic Support based in Palu – Central Sulawesi.
Logistic Support (2 positions)
Reporting Line: Logistic & Procurement Officer - Palu
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in finding potential vendors for small procurement
- Collect quotation from prospective vendors for small procurement
- Assist in procurement document preparation
- Manage the procurement documents archiving
- Assist in checking the type, specification, quality and expiry date of goods/items provided by selected vendors at IR house and at the distribution site
- Assist in distribution process of any IR project
- Assist Logistic Officer in managing Islamic relief drivers’ schedule and vehicle log, and their respective fuel bill and report
- Assist Logistic Officer in managing the office daily operation cost including utility bills, fuel bill, office supplies, stationary, and food/ water as needed.
- Responsible in maintaining and controlling of the stock in IR’s warehouse
- Responsible in receiving and releasing stock and goods in IR’s warehouse
- Responsible in recording of incoming and outgoing stock and goods IR’s warehouse
- Responsible in managing the goods received note and goods delivery note for every item that goes in and out of Islamic relief warehouse
- Responsible in tally management by daily basis
- Update stock card by regular basis of each stock based on incoming and ongoing stock
- Responsible in quality checking and expiry date of the stocks in the warehouse
- Propose disposal and replenishment if the stock based on the quality checking result
- Coordinate with driver for transporting goods
- Assist logistic officer in the availability of the vehicle for transporting goods
- Receive stock or supply request from programme division to release stock
- Assist Logistic in managing fleet
- Supervise loading unloading of stocks and goods from and to Islamic relief warehouse
- Report timely any damage or problem on the stock and the fleet to logistic officer
- Any other tasks delegated from his/her supervisor relevant to IR mission.
- Min. Senior High School/ SMK graduate
- Minimum 1-2 years in relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working as a team member.
- Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principle.
- Ability to multitask with competing demands under tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
