RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an Emergency Temporary Visiting Assistant Professor faculty position in Environmental Science focusing on watershed processes, biogeochemical cycles, climate change, air quality, site remediation, and environmental modeling. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic about teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (such as watershed science, biogeochemical cycles, weather and climate, air quality, site assessment and remediation, and advanced environmental modeling). The applicant must demonstrate institutional citizenship through active engagement at the department, college, university, community, and professional levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. (post-doctoral experience is preferred) and demonstrated teaching experience in watershed processes, biogeochemical cycles, climate change, environmental quality, and environmental modeling or a closely-related field within a science-based program. Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and in interdisciplinary teams. Applicants are expected to describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their teaching, and/or service activities.

The School of Geosciences combines the programs of Geology and Environmental Sciences and includes 11 full-time faculty, 10 instructors and staff, and approximately 110 undergraduate majors and 45 graduate students.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
