KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:
- Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
- Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
- Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.
The Opportunity
These Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Specialist Consultant will support the GESI Team in providing input and technical support for GESI mainstreaming work at KOMPAK both at the national and regional levels.
Key Duties
- Support the GESI Team in implementing the GESI study and advocacy work agenda at the national and local levels
- Provide technical input to working documents in various forms including but not limited to: manuals, technical guidelines, policy papers, presentation materials, study instruments, reports and other relevant materials from various programs/ KOMPAK flagships
- Actively involved in activities assigned by the GESI team in accordance with the capacity and suitability of the main expertise possessed, both at the national and regional levels
Key Requirements
- Minimum S1 in Social Sciences, Politic or other relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in doing work related to gender and social inclusion
- Experienced in conducting studies related to government, policies and villages
- Proven experience in writing review reports and/or policy brief
- Understanding gender equality and social inclusion issues
