The Quaker UN Office in New York is hiring for our Director position, following twelve years of dedicated service in this role by Andrew Tomlinson, who will be retiring later this year.
The Director is the senior representative (together with the Director of QUNO Geneva) of Quakers at the UN. Their responsibilities include advancing the QUNO mission through effective programmatic and administrative leadership; playing a key role in obtaining and managing financial resources (including grant management); and managing outreach and collaboration activities. We seek a Member of the Religious Society of Friends with a deep devotion for Quaker principles and values, and who is familiar with international and diplomatic processes, holds demonstrated experience in outreach and development, and is comfortable and experienced working in complex organizational environments, among other qualifications. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be passionately committed to peace and justice, will show initiative and creativity, and have a good sense of humor.
