Yayasan KNCV Indonesia is a non-profit organisation that aims to be a strong local and self-sustaining organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia. Yayasan KNCV Indonesia promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in Indonesia. We are an organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors, researchers, training experts, and epidemiologists. We aim to stop the spread of the TB epidemic and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB.
Currently Yayasan KNCV Indonesia is looking for a: Translator
The translator will focus on providing support in translation of 2 (two) project reports from Bahasa Indonesia to English in a good quality translation document.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Produce written translation of 2 (two) project reports from Bahasa Indonesia to English;
- Ensure accuracy of the terms and terminology used in the documents;
- Ensure high quality and accuracy of the entire documents before submission;
- Ensure that the translation is written with style, correct grammar and spelling;
- Proof Read and share the draft translation with YKI technical & project team;
- Edit the document based on YKI technical & project team’s input and suggested necessary changes to the translation;
- Complete the work and submit the final translation within the agreed timeline.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Educational Qualifications:
- University degree in English Literature or Medical Science
- Minimum overall band score IELTS 7.0
Competencies and skills:
- Proven skills in translation and interpretation from Bahasa Indonesia into English and vice versa in the fields of public health programme.
- Demonstrated good understanding of technical terms and terminology used in areas of public health program, desirably on Tuberculosis program.
- Able to translate reports in a timely manner and appropriate use of vocabulary in English.
- Able to translate within a maximum of 7 days since the report documents are received.
- Experience in translating document regarding Tuberculosis will be an advantage.
