YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:
- Water and Sanitation
- Sustainable livelihood
- Education
- Child Welfare
- Shelter
- Disaster Risk Reduction
- Climate Change
The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Project Officer based in Palu - Indonesia.
Reporting Line:
Post holder would directly report to Area Coordinator.
Overall Responsibility:
- Under the guidance and direct supervision of Area Coordinator, the Project Officer will provide and support with technical assistance to the Communities/SHGs in livelihood and microfinance and related sectors. The post holder will support the planning and implementation of livelihood and microfinance-related intervention to targeted communities adhering to the project focus. S/he will liaise with project stakeholders (project team, local government, local partners, volunteers, right holders and etc), In addition, s/he will work closely with the project team including MEAL Officers to ensure project deliverables are achieved on scope, time, and budget.
- S/He must perform her/his assigned areas with respect to technical assessments, awareness-raising, rights holders profiling, designing, and delivering training. The respected position will capacitate the staff and volunteers in undertaking their duties and assignment accordingly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to rights holders in business management and finance and linkage to financial institutions for access to finance.
- Ensure the livelihood inputs are distributed and utilized by RH to increase their income.
- Ensure the Islamic microfinance institution is established in the target area.
- Provide advice and support to local partners to implement the microfinance objective of the project by addressing all key aspects, monitoring results, and consulting with relevant stakeholders.
- Support Rights Holders to arrange training and provide business advisory support on microfinancing In Targeted villages.
- Track the progress of project implementation on a daily, weekly, and monthly bases and report.
- To the Area or Project Coordinator for further review and evaluation.
Skills:
- Experience and knowledge in livelihood and microfinance with farmers and organized farmer groups.
- Has Experience to implementing microfinance Syariah.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct/oversee evaluations, reviews, assessments, etc.
- Experience in the evaluation of development projects using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Expertise in Community Engagement is preferred.
- Able to write report quality report supported by data and evidence.
- Project management skill is required.
Requirements:
- University degree in Development Studies, Economy, Socio-Economic Development or another related field.
- Three years minimum experience in livelihoods, microfinance or relevant field.
- Capacity to work under pressure.
- Computer literate with fluency of using Microsoft Word, Excel, survey tools.
