The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Jakarta wishes to fill one-two vacancies in its Climate and Forest team. We are looking for dynamic, articulate and accomplished individuals to work at the cutting edge of one of the most innovative bilateral climate partnerships in the world.
The Norwegian climate and forest partnership with Indonesia is based on a bilateral MoU from 2022. Norway has under this MoU contributed 156 million dollars in support of Indonesia’s continuous efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from forestry and other land use. The Norwegian contribution is a Results Based Contribution, based on verified emissions reductions, and is managed by the Indonesian Environment Fund (IEF). The Programme Advisors will therefore collaborate closely with the IEF as well as the Indonesian Government. Norway also works closely with a broad range of civil society organisations, as well as the private sector in Indonesia.
We are a team of six people working in the Climate and Forest team at the Embassy in Jakarta.
